Response to client brief

Thriller Film Festival Michigan, USA has confirmed that the opening sequence of the new thriller movie must be 2 minutes As a Tester to the screen of the festival is next year. This should be shot in the UK and also aimed at 16-24 years olds. This thriller should target those who might be interested in the new thriller movie  ,and in order  to do so  I will include  different techniques that are seen in a thriller . Before filming or producing anything   I will make sure that  I go through the pre-production process as well as making sure the content is produced originally from me. One of the skills for pre-production skills that I might use when planning is the usage of dietetic sound in the opening sequence whenever I add an action scene. As  dietetic sounds are  used to emphasize heavy scenes for example heavy breathing, which is used to intensify the scene. The advantage of me using this sound will help me attract my audience faster. However , I must take  in consideration that I have the  freedom  to use any music or audio effects from copyright-free .   Legal and ethical issues must also be taken into consideration as I wouldn't want to create anything that can potentially affect my audience. When talking about the opening sequence one of the things I might take into consideration is the post-production of adding titles and names of people who help me during the filming. 

 Now considering the fact that  I'm  creating an opening sequence is very important that   I take in  cosideration  ideas along with great effects that  can  attract  and easily appeal to my audience . So I have chosen psychological thriller as I can easily  attract  my audience .  In order for me to follow and give  what the client brief  want  I will  have a good  camera   shot .  For instance , mid shot , close up and extreme  close up . This are mostly used in psychological  thriller to draw the audience  into relate  to the characters as they are able to  see the  characters  facial expression  along with their body language . This will help the  opening sequence to me more scary , as the audience  are more in  touch  with the way the  characters  feel . In addiction  to make this opening sequence  more realistic  I will use pov shot. I will also use reverse  type of shot as  it will be effective for my opening sequence  this will emphasis consequence of action  and  what  could possibly happen  to the character .  Another  shot technique I will be using is extreme long shot  as it will create  sense of thriller. According to my research  over the shoulder shot is one of the best shots to build tension. As I already mention  I would want my audience to  feel confused so in order for me to do so I will need lots of suspense, as I will be using mirrors and reflections .

 When creating  the trailer  is very important that  I remember  that the BBF regulation will be rating  this and as I know already is very important that I  don't show anything that can potentially  affect   the age group chosen . This is also a reason why i would stay in a lower budget  as I already have to buy costumes and that would cost money .
