Specific overviews

 Explanation of demographics 

  • The target audience   needs to be aimed at 16-24 years olds.
  •  The thriller I'm coming with will be a psychological  thriller. The reason why I have choose this type of thriller is because once you reach the age of 16 your  interested towards the  way human think increases . The second reason why I think this would be perfect is because psychological  has a lot  action  and crime based in the movie.
  • This thriller will be a non budget as everything will be done  by using the equipment that I got.
  • Now moving to props, I will  need to shift my focus to the atmosphere environment of where I'm filming as that would be a big impact for my thriller along with costume usage.


Conventions
  •  I will include   dietetic sound   in this opening sequence   whenever  I add an action  scene . In Dietetic sound   is used  to emphasis heavy scene for example  heavy breathing  which is used to intensify scene .
  •   I will also include high tension usage which will create high contrast to the silence used  which will then create tension to the audience .
  •  I will use  lot of close -up ,extra -close up  and extreme long shot. these will be  commonly used  to help the audience to understand  the way the  characters   emotion  and tension on they face . This created a realistic feel of the film  as the audience could mostly understand the way the characters were felling.
  • Now going back on the way the camera movement played a big role  I will have a fast camera movement   when ever  I have  a  running scene or the camera would move slowly to emphasis danger  that is about to happen . 

The requirements 
  • Film Festival for Michigan USA is looking for  someone  that can shot a thriller just like me  .
  • Reading from the client brief  I can infer that they are looking for someone based  in the Uk that can potentially target the audience  who are 16-24 years old.  This is the best chance for me as I can film anywhere in the uk without actually spending extra money to film outside the uk. But I would also need to take in consideration that my audience start from the age of 16 so  this would mean that I have a restrictions of showing things that are inappropriate for them , for instance murder and killing scene . 
  • They also mention the fact that they want  me to include all the conventions of a film opening and many of the techniques used in the thriller genre.
  • However  they  don't want me to include any sort of copyright source as they want it to remain  free from copyright. This ca be a big disadvantage as I wouldn't be allowed or have the freedom of actually using any other background song that isn't mine .


Medium 

  • The type of medium I'm working on is  film, as I'm creating an opening sequence of  a psychological thriller.
  •  I am also creating 2 minute opening sequence .
